Ilfochrome and Giclee Fine Art Reproductions

I am making my artwork available as fine art images through two distinct and very high-quality artistic reproduction methods: Ilfochrome and Giclee.

ILFOCHROME

For the last twenty years, I have been fortunate in using the Ilfochrome photographic process, developed by the legendary Ciba-Gregory of Switzerland, one of the foremost names in imaging for well over a century. Whenever I see one of my images printed on an Ilfochrome, I am in awe at the beauty the process conveys.

Ilfochromes are archival and museum quality color prints known for their sharpness, richness and bold colors (with a 200 year guarantee against fading), achieved through a direct process for printing from transparencies. To add to the overall presentation of an image, the print is laminated to a 1/8" aluminum sheet cut to the exact size of the print: 24" x 30". No frame is needed. When hung, the print sits 3⁄4" away from the wall for a floating effect that is spectacular! Prices start at $1800 for 24"h x 30"w mounted print. Ilfochrome prints can be made up to 50"h x 72"w.

GICLEE

Giclee (zhee-CLAY) is a French word meaning "spray of liquid." A giclee print is produced with high-resolution scans and printed with archival quality inks onto fine art paper. The giclee process provides a finer and truer color accuracy than any other means of reproduction. Giclees are framed with a white 4" acid-free mat and framed with a thin black frame.

In Giclee printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original piece of art. Prices for Giclees start at $1700 for a 24" x 30" print. Frame size is 38"h x 32"w high. Giclees can be printed up to 50"h x 72"w.

All images seen on my website are available as either Ilfas or Giclees. Each image will be available in a limited edition of 25 for each format. Each reproduction is examined by the artist, hand signed, and hand numbered.  At the time of sale, the reproduction is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
